Session

The Session is the governing body of the church. The Session of First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights is made up of 21 ruling elders. The Session is responsible for the life and ministry of First Presbyterian Church. The Session’s goals currently center on building community, serving others, creating inspiring worship, encouraging faith development, and being good stewards of God’s resources.

These activities make up the work of the committees of the church, which help with the following ministries: providing varied, enriching worship experiences and administering the sacraments (baptism and communion); offering Christian education for all ages; reaching out to local, national, and international communities through mission; creating community-building fellowship opportunities; and encouraging good stewardship of time, talent, and financial resources.
